{"id":448,"date":"2009-06-02T18:31:29","date_gmt":"2009-06-03T01:31:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tibetantailor.com\/?p=448"},"modified":"2009-06-02T19:47:50","modified_gmt":"2009-06-03T02:47:50","slug":"design-rules-for-ux","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/tibetantailor.com\/?p=448","title":{"rendered":"Design Rules for UX"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Design Rules for Building Happy Customer User Experiences (UX).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I think a reason a we aren&#8217;t building as good of customer\u00a0experiences\u00a0as we could is because of subpar UX management practices. \u00a0In the next couple of years I think there are going to be new UX management &#8220;systems.&#8221; And these new ways in which we manage UX and UX teams will give our companies competitive advantage and generate value.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>We don&#8217;t need no stink&#8217;n requirements, we need experiments.\u00a0We will try and learn.<\/li>\n<li>Customer Feedback (not content) is king.\u00a0We must have customer information and knowledge (insights, feedback, input, and &#8220;validation.&#8221;)<\/li>\n<li>In the absence of top-down direction we will self-direct and self-innovate.<\/li>\n<li>UX happens, Better UX is an iterative process.<\/li>\n<li>Information Architecture isn&#8217;t everything, but it is how everything is &#8220;organized.&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Place over Plan. (Or the Place is the Plan.)<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;Better than where we are today&#8221; is the goal.<\/li>\n<li>Prototyping is our path.<\/li>\n<li>We want to make the next internet. And we are &amp; we will because\u00a0the internet has made the world a better place.<\/li>\n<li>We gotta want our companies to make money.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Future-Management-Bill-Breen\/dp\/1422102505\">Inspired after reading The Future of Management by Bill Breen and Gary Hamel<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Thank You <a href=\"ttp:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/pub\/0\/180\/3a5\">Mags<\/a> for giving me the above book. \u00a0It was and is excellent.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Design Rules for Building Happy Customer User Experiences (UX).
